Evil dentist and cost of dental implants

Cost of dental implants is a topic you can talk about for as much time as you want, and you’ll never be satisfied what you find out. For sure I can tell only one thing - cost of dental implants will never get lower, it can only increase. But cost of dental implants is not the topic of this post.

I guess everybody heard stories about evil dentist, how did something with patients being under narcosis. Or something like that. And story I’m going to write is probably one of those legends everybody heard to happen to friend of his friend or something like that. However I heard it only once, so where is still hope for it to be at least something like truth.

As you’ve already guessed, this story happened to friend of my friend somewhere in Eastern Europe. I don’t remember her name, but as I was told she wasn’t an old lady and could still use her own teeth for years and years. 
Problems with teeth always appear unexpected. Today everything seems to be good and tomorrow you might be looking for a good dentist. Or even worse, looking for a credit terrified by cost of dental implants your “good” dentist offered. Heroine of this story faced both.

So the story begins. And all stories about teeth it begins with toothache. Not mortal, but annoying. The one you can stand but that doesn’t let you live your habitual life. What you usually do when something like happens? Of course go to your dentist, if you have one. But if this is the first toothache you have in your life? One of solutions is to go to some big famous clinic about which you hear any where you go. If it is so famous in should be a good one. No? I would think twice. But not having that annoying toothache… All you want is gust get rid of it. And as quickly as you can. Just make the simplest decision you see that will solve the problem.

And she also thought it is a good idea to visit a big clinic. Smiling doctor told that problem is small and will be solved ones and forever in half an hour. Nice no? Prices also seemed to be attractive. Just like in fairy tale: prince with dental drilling machine saves beautiful princes from horrible carious monster. And the job was done in half an hour, prince kissed the princes and she awoke, and the spell was broken. And they lived together for many years and died the same day. Happy end.

STOP!!!!! Fairy tale was over in two days. Monster awoke again and was angry. And this time it was the pain that makes you climb walls, earth yourself and do any anything else to stop it. And what about happy and you ask, there was no pain for two days. I can’t say for sure. Maybe it was some special kind of drug.

And she went back to clinic. No, she ran back. Pain can even make you fly… The same smiling doctor told that problem is bigger than he thought, and after some tests they found some infection. Teeth was removed, and also a pair of his neighbors (they also were infected). If you are an old lady, you can allow yourself lack of tooth. But if you are 35, and still not married…

Here we come back again to the cost of dental implants. One who saw price list can imagine the reaction. Who didn’t can have a look here. Now you CAN imagine. Life is life, you must do what you must. She got that implants. And of course she tried do find out what really happened to her. But by the time officials got to the clinic all records about her where lost and the smiling doctor disappeared.

This is the end of my version of this story. No happy end. Nothing is known about that smiling dentist. He may be Your next dentist and may not. This may be just a legend, and may be not...
